This is a good Sashiko kit 'grab and go' summer project for summer travel and is also a perfect project for beginner Sashiko Stitchers.
The dark blue medium weight cotton fabric has already been sewn into an envelope style cushion cover. It is printed with a linked circles Sashiko pattern with wash out ink.
You use the included Sashiko thread and Sashiko needle included to stitch the design and when you have finished you give it a short soak and rinse in water away. You will be left with your beautiful Sashiko stitched, completely sewn and ready to use, cushion cover!

A note: This kit comes with a thicker than usual Sashiko thread. Sashiko is intended to be used as it is. However, if you find this thread too difficult to pull through the fabric, it is possible to pull some strands out. Or you could buy a skeins of 20 meter Olympus Sashiko thread. Also there is a palm Sashiko thimble in the kit. I never use a thimble myself, if you want to, look up how on u-tube :-)
