This collection is large. You might prefer to use the Hand Stitching menu in the top menu for sub-menus to make browsing & shopping easier.
Mending and Japanese boro have joined embroidery in being rediscovered as satisfyingly creative ways to de-stress. Japanese Boro stitching dates back to the 1600's. By stitching fabric pieces together and overstitching them as needed, women gave the last hurrah to usable cloth cut from worn out fabrics. Modern Boro stitching is the use of small beautiful fabric pieces and heavy hand stitching to create textile art.
Visible Mending a modern version of boro, with additions :-)
Both are part of the mindful stitching, visible mending, repairing and repurposing movements.
