This kit contains seven fabric patches varying in size, roughly 5" x 5" and 20 meters of Olympus sashiko thread and a sashiko needle for classic sashiko stitched indigo fabric mending perfect for mending your favourite blue jeans, jean jackets, or other mid-weight natural fibre clothing.
Each patch is a different Katazome resist or block printed design on cotton cloth hand dyed and printed by skilled artisans using natural indigo dye. Fabric prints may vary a little but will be very similar, the fabric will be the same.
Because the dying has been done by skilled artisans their fade down will be slow and beautiful in the way that indigo blue is famous for. I had to rub this cloth quite firmly against a lighter fabric before I saw any rub off.
