The Freemantle Frock is a clever design that will fit to flatter any shape, according to its designer. The dress features contouring princess lines down the front of the dress, with hidden pockets and a simple curved hem.

Suitable for Japanese linens and dyed yarn cotton fabrics, or any quilt weight cotton.
Sewing skills? There are no closures or darts making this an easy to sew dress. There are set in sleeves however, so its not a total beginner pattern :-) I took a look at the directions and they look excellent with clear instructions for finding your proper fit, and for clear step by step directions with drawings for how to set in the sleeves and make the pockets.

Overall, I would say there is enough support for a confident new sewer to be successful.
