If you have been wanting to try the kuguri-sashi (weaving under stitches) style of sashiko this is a good kit for trying it out. It has everything you need to stitch 5 coaster size samplers of 5 different kuguri patterns. There are english directions and diagrams to show you how to do the two-part process. First you stitch the marked stitching lines, and then you use those stitches to weave thread under to complete the pattern.
