I like these for hand sewing projects. They are usually advertised for machine sewing and work great for that, but they are just as good for hand sewing being quick and easy to move as you stitch.

How to use: The clip opens wide to hold layers of fabrics in much the same was a clothes peg does. The base is flat and the clip closes firmly without damaging fabrics.
