Simply thread your sashiko needle with some sashiko thread and enjoy stitching over the printed markings. When you are done, wash the panel and the print will wash completely away. Press face down with a steam iron.
Note" This panel is such a dark navy it is hard not to argue it is black. The colour makes a good contrast for the sashiko threads, but if you want to see 'blue' as the background this one might not be a good choice.

Use it for a wall hanging, or a runner, or incorporate it into a Japanese quilt design or boro throw quilt. I can't help but think if you have a long narrow window, two of this panel would make an amazing pair of curtains!
