These hand dyed and hand printed fabrics will elevate your mending with the classic indigo colour, hand printed designs, and assorted textures.
These fabrics will not shrink, the techniques by which they were dyed and printed means they have already been washed several times. You can machine wash and dry them and because the dying was done by skilled artisans their fade down will be slow and beautiful in the way that the natural indigo plant dye is famous for doing (no colour rub off or bleeding).
This kit contains
- 60 grams of cotton fabrics hand dyed and printed with in indigo plant dye using three fabric techniques for hand dying and printing fabrics: katazome resist printing, block printing, and indigo vat dipping.
- The fabrics are in various sizes, textures of cotton, and patterns. Size ranges from about 3"x4" to 6"x8" and can be cut to suitable size for your mend.
