It is a perfect starting collection if you are just beginning your mending journey. If you are already a dedicated mender and particularly like the sashiko patterns on your mending projects, this is will be a book you come back to again and again.
I would be inclined to say if you could have only one mending book, this one should be it.
Apart from having easy to use clear instructions and patterns ranging from simple to advanced, the book has an envelope of re-usable iron on patterns in a fat little envelope in the back. This means no tedious transfer, you can just iron the design ono you fabric patch and start stitching.
