This is a ready to stitch cotton placemat. Simply thread your sashiko needle with sashiko thread and enjoy your stitching. When you are finished, soak and rinse away the marked pattern.
You will need 60 meters of sashiko thread to complete this design. Finished size is 31cmX45cm. Machine wash and dry. English instructions included.
Shochikubai means pine, bamboo and plum. These three plants are often found together in Japanese art and referred to as "the three companions of cold". Together they are an auspicious motif representing longevity, resilience and renewal.
