This surface texture and colour of this dobby fabric was designed to make it a good co-ordinating fabric with the Japanese dyed yarn fabrics on this website.
It has a subtle surface sheen created by a cross hatching in the weave, a crisp hand and good (but not soft) drape, and is suitable for both machine or hand stitching.
The weave of this particular dobby fabric makes it an especially good background fabric for embroidery and other hand stitchings projects. The texture of the weave adds interest and depth to the colour but is subtle enough that it will not compete for attention with your stitching.

How to order the length you need:
This fabric is 44" wide, and is sold by 20" increments. Put 1 in the order box for every 20" length of fabric you want to order
- Put 1 in the order box to be sent 44" wide X 20" long (half meter)
- Put 2 in the order box to be sent 44" wide by 40" long (1 meter)
- Put 3 in the order box to be send 44" wide X 60" long. (1.5 meter), and so on.
You fabric amount will be sent in one continuous length.
