Like any good home made bear, you will grow more fond of Boro bear with passing years, because she has that "certain something" that comes from being handmade and imperfect!
This kit contains Japanese printed Kasuri navy cotton fabric in several traditional designs, plus a second print fabric, 20 meter skein of Olympus Sashiko thread, 6 buttons for eyes, hips and shoulders, 2 meters of strong toy-making thread for attaching the limbs, full size pattern pieces and directions.
The print fabric in this kit may not be identical to the ones in the photo but they will be carefully chosen and from the same fabrics. The other bears in the photos were made with this pattern and recycled wool.
The pattern also contains a short history of Boro and instructions for how to make a Boro fabric from the included fabrics to use in making your bear.
The finished bear is about 14" tall standing, 9" sitting. Her arms and legs are moveable, allowing her to do both.
You will also need a long Sashiko or toy making needle needle and some toy stuffing
