Snow Crystals This new hitome-zashi kit by La Bouquetiere combines three traditional designs and five subtle colours on a blue background. It looks complicated but it breaks down into easy stitching sections. The finished effect is quite impressive!
Kit includes: Ready to stitch cotton fabric with wash away printed design, 6 sashiko thread skeins, one sashiko needle, and good diagrams for how to stitch.
Note: Instructions included are in Japanese language with good diagrams. This will be sufficient for confident sashiko stitchers, but you can also find english language instructions with photographs at this link. (Confident beginner stitchers should be able to stitch this design following these online instructions)
The finished stitched area is 12" X 12" and will make a beautiful table center, small cushion, or framed wall piece, or you could incorporate it into another larger sewing project (runner, quilt block..)
