This is the 42/43" wide indigo blue color 100 % cotton fabric I use for sashiko stitching. It is an even dye color with a smooth surface, a bit heavier than a quilting cotton fabric, but still lightweight. The sashiko thread and needles travel through it easily. I import it from Japan, and if you have met me at a sewing show, it is the same fabric the jacket I wear is made from. The color will not bleed or fade as the indigo color commercially dyed. I always prewash before I sew, but it isn't necessary.
Order by the half meter (2 units = 1 meter) Your fabric will be sent in one continuous piece.
