This is Presencia Finca mercerized perle cotton thread made from extra long staple Egyptian cotton. It has the sheen, strength, and colour saturation you expect from mercerised cotton.
Perle cotton is a versatile thread used for many stitching techniques, as well as for crochet. It is washable and colourfast.
I chose the colours of these threads to work with the Japanese dyed yarn fabrics on this website. If you are a fan of Yoko Saito designs you will be familiar with the combining of stitching on pieced and applique quilted projects.
But of course, you can do anything you like with them :-)
