This is not traditional sashiko, but that only matters if it matters to you :-) It is a lovely stitching design of forest animals watching the stars in the silent night sky. Printed in wash out ink on cotton cloth. Simply open the cloth, thread your sashiko needle with some sashiko thread and stitch over the printed lines. When you are finished your stitching, soak and rinse in warm water to wash out the printed markings.
The cloth in this package is 13 1/2" X 25 5/8", the printed area for stitching is 12" X 12". You are meant to fold the unprinted half behind the printed side and stitch through both layers.
