This handbag is 8 1/2" x 13" x 5" deep, which is a good size for a weekend bag. It'll hold everything you need, and a spare toothbrush to boot!
I substituted Soft & Stable for the interfacings in this pattern so that my bag would hold its shape empty or full. Leave off the handles, or make shorter ones, and this pattern makes a good cosmetic travel bag.
