This is Presencia Finca mercerized perle cotton thread made from extra long staple Egyptian cotton. It has the sheen, strength, and colour saturation you expect from mercerised cotton.
Size 8 is the medium weight perle cotton (Size 5 is thicker and size 12 is thin).
This thread is suitable for hand stitching, mending, hand quilting, applique, embroidery, crochet, wool applique, punchneedle, fringe and tassel making.
