This is a high quality cotton artisan fabric panel printed with 20 Hikeshi-Hanten (Firemen's Coats) from the EDO period (1603-1867) in Japan. Manufactured by Olympus Manufacturing it is both colourfast and machine washable.

Each panel is 30" long X 43" wide. There are five coats across and four down, all different from each other. The off-white areas the coats are framed and measure 7" X 5 1/2". The horizontal blue flecked with off-white area between the coats is 1 3/4" wide and the vertical area between the coats is 1 1/4" wide.
Use this fabric for quilting, clothing, wall hangings, cushions and so on. It will pair well with Wagara, Sarasa, and Dyed Yarn fabrics on this website. And of course, it is suitable for use sashiko and boro projects.
Colourfast, no shrink, machine wash and dry on cool settings.
