Hand dyed Valdani Perle Cotton threads are loved by so many of us for the depth of colour and softer texture of the thread. These long staple Egyptian cotton threads have a beautiful soft sheen, are colourfast, and because they are hand dyed they have gentle colour transitions.
73 yard ball (approx. 67 meters), size 8 thickness, variegated hand dyed cotton thread.
This one is called Aged Black. I see in it the colours that sometimes show up in black as it ages: darkened blacks, greys, blues, purples, tans.
Valdani threads may have a bit of variation between dye lots because they are hand dyed.
Size 8 is the medium weight perle cotton (Size 5 is thicker and size 12 is thin).
This is suitable for hand stitching, mending, hand quilting, applique, embroidery, crochet, wool applique, punchneedle, fringe and tassel making.
This thread can be using in machine quilting and stitching for bobbin work.
