Package of two sashiko needles one long and one short. Their strong shaft and large eyes make these good sashiko needles.
These are my favourite needles if I am sashiko stitching heavy fabrics or through multiple layers of fabric, but they are also my favourite needle anytime I need a strong needle, for denim repairs or canvas fabrics, for example.
I also use them to stitch the fabric to the metal purse clasp frames because the eyes are strong enough to handle the pulling needed too snug the fabric to the frame tightly, and the eyes are big enough for bag making thread.
