– Sold OutThis 100% cotton preprinted fabric is printed with a number of sashiko designs and comes as a 24" panel, 44" wide. This is a nice panel project which can easily be hemmed and turned into a runner by simply hemming the edges when you have finished the stitching.
Uses:
This fabric is firm smooth medium light weight cotton suitable for quilting, home decor, bags or clothing. The print washes out cleanly so you do not have to stitch the entire fabric. This is useful if you want to plan stitched and unstitched areas in a project you are making from this fabric.
Fabric care:
This fabric is colourfast, preshrunk, and can be machine washed and dried. As with any cotton, it will stay nicer if it is dried on gentle heat. Hot air is hard on cotton fibres.
The print will wash out so do not get the fabric damp before your stitching is finished. Also do not iron it because it may set the markings so they won't wash out.
Suggested sashiko thread and needles:
Any of the sashiko needles and threads are suitable, if in doubt try the Olympus sashiko needles and 100 meter Olympus sashiko thread skein.
