This kit contains seven patches varying in size, roughly 5" x 5" and 20 meters of sashiko thread for classic sashiko stitched indigo fabric mending perfect for mending your favourite blue jeans, jean jackets, or other mid-weight natural fibre clothing.
Each patch is a different Katazome resist or block printed design on cotton cloth hand dyed and printed by skilled artisans using natural indigo dye.
Because the dying has been done by skilled artisans their fade down will be slow and beautiful in the way that indigo blue is famous for. (How to test for this when buying indigo dyed fabric is to see if blue rubs off on your hands or off on light colour fabric. If it does rub off the dye is not properly fixed in the cloth)
