Dyed Yarn Cotton Fabric
Please select all options.
Dyed yarn cotton fabric is suitable for clothing, quilting, boro stitching, and home decor projects. This one is soft and drape-y.
On this one, both sides are attractive. On the 'right' side the xx threads create a lovely small diamond texture, on the other side the lighter thread colour of the xx design is lighter and stands out against the grey background.
The crayons are included to help you judge colour.
This fabric is 44" wide
How to order the amount you want: Order the length you want by putting 1 unit in the order box for every 10" in length. That means: 1 will get you 10", 2 will get you 20", 3 will get you 30", 4 will get you 40" (or one meter) and so on.
What are dyed yarn fabrics?
Dyed yarn fabrics get their distinctive appearance and feel from how they are woven. The yarns (threads) are dyed first, and then the cloth is woven. Often a few different weights or textures of yarn (thread) are woven into the cloth to create a more textured fabric. The front and back of the fabrics are both 'right sides', some have quite different textures. When this happens I have included a photograph to show both sides.
Dyed yarn fabrics are suitable for machine or hand sewing. I particularly like them for hand appliqué and hand stitching (boro) as the weave lets the needle travel through easily.
Recommended care instructions: Machine wash in lukewarm water, remove from dryer before fully dry, press if desired. These fabrics have little shrinkage and keep their colour and drape when washed.
