This is a bit of a rare and limited find. It is the plant dye quality of the colours plus the washed-until-soft but still strong texture of this fabric that makes it a special find for stitchers and menders.
The package contains 4 pieces, each 10 X 10 inches square, well washed soft Ramie fabric. Ramie fabric is made from a strong fibre plant in the nettle family and resembles linen. It's use as a fibre plant is dated back 6000 plus years.
