This ready to stitch Sashiko design was inspired by a design on a firefighters coat from the Japanese Edo period, and handprinted in Japan.

Use for quilt blocks, other sewing projects, or as is for decorative household cloth.

The fabric is colourfast but the printed markings for stitching will wash away completely after you have finished the stitching ....please don't get it damp before that!
This design area is 12" x 12" square printed at one end of a 13 1/2" x 26" cloth. You are meant to fold the cloth in half so that you will be stitching through two layers of cloth, and your finished project will be 12" x 12".

Designed by Ky Fujita for QH Textiles.
The instructions are in English.

Hand or machine washable after the stitching in completely finished.
